MSME Tool Room – Kolkata has designed and manufactured items as Import Substitutes, some of which are given below:
· Design and manufactured moulds for containers and lids of batteries for motorbikes, passenger cars and commercial vehicles manufactured in India with Japanese collaboration.
· Developed and manufactured cold heading dies and rollers for taper roller bearings by cold heading process.
· Manufacture of forging for races of bearings.
· High-speed press tools for coins.
· Machining of Inlet Housing (Aircraft component).
